News and Chatter
- Correction to the Jan-Feb, 2012 Nuthatch: the St. Clair River field trip will be held on January 21st not January 28th as listed in the newsletter. Please see the Field Trips page for trip details.
- Thanks to all the territory leaders, field observers and feeder watchers who participated in a very successful 2011 Christmas Bird Count. With the warmer temperatures and open water, we recorded 68 species in our count circle. Complete results will posted on the Field Trips page. Special thanks to Ed Lewandowski for organizing this year's count and for recruiting many new participants, Alice Marotti for keeping us fed during the tally, Scott Jennex, our able compiler and the folks at Independence Oaks Park for once again hosting the tally/supper.
- If you have not already done so, please take the time to renew your OAS membership. See the Membership page for details or contact our Membership officer, Dave Frye.
- The Jan-Feb, 2012 Nuthatch newsletter is available on the Nuthatch page of the website. Comments on the newsletter format and features are always welcome.
- If you have any news that is current and should be communicated to our members, please contact Don Burlett, OAS President.
